Who am I?

Hi and thanks for dropping into my website. So, who am I? Well, I love my family and one of my passions is being a lifelong sports fan. Also, a hobby of mine is golf but I suck at it. In addition, I like a wide range of TV shows, movies, and music.

However, when it comes down to it, I like to have fun — life is too short to carry a bad attitude.

As far as my professional life, here is how I got here (without going too far in the past):

  • I’ve been a journalist for nearly 40 years
  • Joined the Bay Area News Group in 1998
  • Became a CMS operator in 2009 when I fell in love with digital work
  • Laid off from BANG in 2018
  • Went back to school, Diablo Valley College, for one year as a Computer Information Systems major
  • Accepted an offer to join a Silicon Valley startup in 2019 as Head of Content
  • Unfortunately, I was laid off from there in late 2020
  • Completed a tough Web Development boot camp (Coding Dojo) in June 2021
  • Now I’m looking for Web Design work

I love the challenges

So, that sums it up. However, what my background doesn’t say is I love the challenges that come with web designing, such as creating and enhancing content, debugging, to be fast and accurate at this same time, and the satisfaction that comes when the final product is embraced by many.

Indeed, what about my personality? In addition to being a nice guy, I am a model team player capable of multitasking and problem-solving. Furthermore, I arrive at work with a positive attitude and I am eager to take on what lies in front of me.

Moreover, I am always seeking opportunities, so if you like what you see, please fill out my contact sheet and we’ll hook up.
